Entry to the Australian Father of the Year and NSW Community Father of the Year implies acceptance of the following rules:
Nominees must be fathers aged 18 and over
Nominees must be Australian citizens
Nominees must not have a criminal record. Finalists will be subjected to a police criminal check and must be willing to provide background information and certified identification documents
Winners and finalists must be willing and able to attend the awards ceremony
The winners must be willing to undertake marketing and promotional activities in conjunction with The Shepherd Centre for the 12 months period after the award is received
Late entries will not be accepted
No liability will be accepted for entries that are lost, damaged or delayed.
Supporting information, including photographs, submitted with postal entries will not be returned.
Self nominations will not be accepted
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence or negotiation will be entered into.
The selection of finalists is based on the nominations received and the information available to the judges at the time.
The Australian Father’s Day Council reserves the right to withdraw the award if further information becomes available and/or the conduct of the finalists can be seen to cause disrepute to The Australian Father’s Day Council and the "Australian Father of the Year" or "NSW Community Father of the Year"award.
The Australian Father’s Day Council reserves the right to change, hold, void or cancel the awards and/or event at any time without notice.
