Australian Father of the Year

The search is over and the winners of this year's Australian Father of the Year awards were announced.

Mr Li Cunxin, international ballet dancer turned stockbroker and author of 'Mao's Last Dancer' was awarded the 2009 Shepherd Centre Australian Father of the Year.

Sgt Chris Cotter, NSW Police Offcer and former Youth Officer for Macquarie Fields was awarded the 2009 NSW Community father of the Year award due to his love, compassion and dedication as a dad.

The Australian Father’s Day Council presented the two awards at a prestigious ceremony in NSW Parliament House on Friday 28 August.
